This piece is from a series of sketches I did after my surfing trip to Bali in 2015. It is a memory from one of the lovely encounters I made on that trip.

As a joke, we agreed I would sketch to remember how tiny the couch in my Ubud hotel was. The wooden furniture, the flower patterns and the characters are all influenced by that Balinese experience.
